Pension Hutter: a 3star pension next to the airport

Pension Hutter is the cheapest possibility to sleep directely close to the airport, it is the next building to the - much more expensive - Airporthotel and also there you will not hear any noises of the airplanes landing or departing..
I was standing in front of these hotels and could not hear any noises, it is even a lot more quiet than in most places in the centre of Salzburg.

The Prices in Pension Hutter are moderate :
single-room : 40 - 49 euros
double-rooms : 62 - 76 euros
Triple-rooms : 84 - 99 euros
these prices are per room, per night
including breakfast

Unique Qualities: There are enough parking-spaces in front of the Pension Hutter. To Hangar 7 it is a walking-time of about 20 minutes, or maybe they have a better access to the other side of the airfield that I did not find !

Directions: Pension Hutter is the next building to the Airport-hotel, take bus #2 from Salzburg Hauptbahnhof or go by car and park in front of the pension !

Airporthotel Salzburg: next to the airport & close to Hangar 7

Airporthotel Salzburg has a really excellent place close to the airport of Salzburg, about 200 meters from the main entrance and roll-fields, BUT still you will almost NOT hear any noises of starting or landing airplanes.
They have their own garage, but also the public parking of the airport is just about 50 meters from the hotel.

The Airporthotel is not really a cheap place :
Singlerooms are 95,- to 125 euros
double rooms are 135,- to 175 euros
all prices include breakfast-buffet

Unique Qualities: You may get easily to this hotel , when you arrive at the highway A1 or when you take the bus from the city-centre of Salzburg to Salzburg - Flughfafen.

Watch out for the many great country inns, offering hotel-rooms

Unique Qualities: I prefer that kind of lodging to a room of a hotel-chain...

But mostly I take my motorhome anyway - and parking it is easy at most of the places in Salzburg and stay there at night, as long as you obey all signs...
