Cong Abbey is a place worth a visit. There is only a part of the old Abby left to be seen, but there are plenty of lovely details left.
Just take a closer look at all of the windows and you will see some of them with great ornaments or at least some remains of them.
Of course the old Abbey was also taken as a background for some of the scenes of the movie "The Quiet man" - in Germany it was called "Der Sieger"
