Of course there are lots of villages on earth that are further north but Hammerfest is the northernmost TOWN on earth !

Michael, Hammerfest seems like quite an interesting little destination - located so far north! I've never been to the far north but have been lucky to see the Northern Lights in southern Canada during the summer months.

Another very interesting page about the northernmost town on earth. Yes, Hammerfest - 70,39N, my homecity is Severomorsk - 69,05N. But its population is 60000 while in Hammerfest only 10000, haha! Thank you, Michael!

ein bischen viel TamTam wegen der Eisbären dort, denn eigentlich sieht man sie dort eh am liebsten aus der Ferne oder als Bettvorleger !
