I was in Puerto Varas in 2008. I was fortunate to have a nice day where I saw Volcan Osorno clearly from the lake. What an amazing sight! Dawn
Another informative page Michael.
Gott sei dank muss ich auch in Puerto Montt nicht auf ein anständiges Bierchen verzichten ;)
Hi Michael, another great travel page with lots of great information and photos!
What a fun cruise you had! Those snow-capped mts. behind Puerto Montt are beautiful, not to mention your fjord cruise scenes! It must have been worrying for those early German settlers to make such a move - I thought the same about Papua New Guinea!!
Michael, fabulous page about this Chilean palce with so much German history. I really like the old steam trains. Also I would like to give the Kunstmann beer a try; "Das gute Bier" :-)
I would better like to see a face of a german sheep-dog of that monument. German traces in South America - it's something! Several brilliant pics as well. Thanks Michael for another perfect page!
I really like following your cruise as I have done it the other way round and can't remember much of which place was which in Chile.
deutsches Bier da unten, das ist echt ein Hit !
I would never pay to take a picof a Llama, even if it might be the Dalai Lama.
