Estancia Haberton was the first settlement of the europeans in Tierra del Fuego / Fireland.
It is still a farm today and includes a great museum of whale-bones and a lot more !

Wow, what a wonderful place to visit! Good for you, Michael!
Really enjoyed your pages about Puerto Harberton. Just outstanding photographs. Found the whale bones and the museum most interesting. Learned about "sheep counter" and sheep shaving. Good transportation tips, too.
Fantastic tips and photos on your visit to Puerto Harberton! It looks like you had beautiful weather there. There were so many interesting things: the Bridges house, driving there via old roads and bridges, all the OTBP tips, sheep counter....
Michael, fabulous page with outstanding photos of this southern end of the world. I especially like your pictures of the old cars and lorries. Well done.
Whale bones are so impressive. I saw some in Australia. The whole place looks very interesting.
Another interesting new page about life at the end of the world! Too bad they don't have sheep any more, since they have such an ingenious way of counting them.
Step by step around Tierra de Fuego
whale bones museum sounds interesting. but the first place I give to the old wash-machine :-)
