Brilliant Michael - a great idea. We came to Vienna for the markets a few years ago - loved the one at Schonbrunn and now I know the name of the Altewiener ... but where is Krampus on your Wien Christmas page? leyle

Another perfect VT-page! Wien is really a must. I was there with a day trip in far 1996. Dream to revisit it one day (but don't think it would be on Christmas, haha!).

Fine tips about attractions in and around Vienna! I went to the Haus der Musik many years ago during one of the "Mozart Years" (such-and-such an anniversary of his birth or death). But the Virtual Conductor of the Radetzkymarsch wasn't there yet.

gut zu wissen daß es im Hofmobiliendepot doch etwas mehr zu sehengibt als nur die verstaubten Sissi-möbel !

a pity that trams 1 and 2 are no longer going the whole loop. CAT is a rip-off indeed. Better to use S-Bahn and to pay the small supplement for the little distance outside Vienna.
