Austria is part of the EU since 1995
and is one of the "Schengen-countries"
and has the EURO (the best idea of EU in my opinion...)
All cars and motorbikes using austria's HIGHWAY = "Autobahn", have to buy a so called "AUTOBAHN-VIGNETTE" and fix it on the windscreen of their car, B E F O R E they enter the highway.
You could buy it at most petrol stations, newspapershops and also at most highway-border-stations. |

Great page! Remembers me I have to book Salzkammergut to pick up memories of long time ago! I just remembered that 2 girls I met years ago in Millstatt came from Steyr. They visited me in Holland. |
