This was most interesting with its "light side" and its "dark side". Lots of history, architecture, and great places to stay. Excellent and abundant photographs. A real pleasure to read and view.

War nach der DDR nicht mehr dort (und auch damls nur kurz). Höchste Zeit mal wieder zu kommen. Die ehemaligen HO-Gaststätten sind aber vergleichsweise teuer geworden - und das Essen war damals auch OK...

a lot of the interesting things are worth visiting in Thuringen. I hope to see it by my eyes one day (i like Bach and would like to visit the place he was born)

Great overall introduction of a part of Germany unknown to me! For some reason I always thought that Albert Schweitzer was a Swiss guy - must be the name.
