    Paragliding from Jenner is not really easy and it is advisable NOT to fly there at all, when you are still a beginner or un-experienced paraglider. In 2005 various accidents did happen, so it would be very important to
    contact the local paragliding-club
    before you plan a flight from Jenner (for the GERMAN-Version click on my link below !)
    At the beginning of the Jennerbahn-cablecar you may see a map with the ONLY advisable places to start and to land and then you should also know that during days of high thermic the landing might be rather turbulent there.

    Equipment: Bring your own equipment, packed equipment may have a length of not more than 4 meters to be transported by the Jenner-cablecar. You need your own insurance for the transport AND you have to register in a flight-book at the counter of the cablecar !!
    NO charges for take off or landing, pilots get a small reduction for their meals and drinks at the restaurant on top of Jenner.

    Renn-Bob-Taxi is a brand new service that is offered for all fans of high-speed-racing in the Ice-Canal of Berchtesgaden / Koenigssee.
    For 85 Euros a person you will race down the ice-canal at Koenigssee with an experienced driver and with a speed of 120 km/h
    These races are possible only at the weekends !
    Friday it is mostly after 08.00p.m.
    Saturday in the afternoon after 03.00p.m.
    sundays after 02.00p.m.

    Equipment: You wont need any special equipment except some gloves against the icy winds. The whole run is about 1300 meters, the difference in elevation is 110 meters...
    NO passengers younger than 18 years !
    you have to be totally fit !

    Directions: The Ice-Canal is in Schoenau am Koenigssee, get into the village and turn to the right at the ships-landing. It is opposite of Malerwinkel, about 800 meters from the town-centre.

    There is a very good and also really scenic system of hiking-paths around the cablecar of Jennerbahn.
    Jennerbahn has 3 stations :
    Talstation - down in the valley, next to the large parking
    Mittelstation - in a hight of 1200 meters
    Bergstation - in a hight of 1800 meters
    Take a look at my map - you may get this map free of charge at the Jennerbahn :
    1) is Hoehenweg from Mittelstation to Obersalzberg : 5km - 90 minutes
    2) hiking Mitterkaserweg from Mittelstation to Bergstation : 3,5 km - 75 minutes
    3)Koenigsbachweg from Bergstation - Koenigsberg - Koenigsbachalm - Mittelstation : 6,5 km - 150 min.
    4)Kleine Beib'n : Bergstation - Schneibstein - Seeleinsee - Koenigsbahalm - Mittelstation : 13 km - 6 hours
    8)Kesselweg Bergstation or Mittelstation - Koenigsbachalm - Gotzentalalm - Kessel : 8,5 km - 3 hours !
    Make sure to reserve a ship to be landing at Kessel ! This station is upon request only !!!

    Equipment: Good hiking-shoes are essential, weather-gear as well, a bottle of water...

     I have been to the Kehlsteinhaus a number of times. The last time I walked up - I must have been crazy, but you do have time to photograph the views as you catch your breath.

     St. Bartholomae, pilgrim-church looks fairy-like. I was going to visit this beautiful corner of Bavaria some 10 years ago but my 3 cons were: crowds, unpredictable weather (in mountians) and high prices. Maybe soon... ffter reading your wonderful page :-)
