When you imagine the Caribbean don't think that all the islands are just the same, each of them has its characteristics. Jamaica is a mountainous island and its highest point is the Blue Mountain Peak, 2256 meters high. For this reason in Jamaica you can find several different views, all wonderful!!
The indented coastline shapes many lovely small beaches surrounded by a luxuriant vegetation. In the inland the most famous area is the Cockpit Country, an impenetrable region that you can see only by plane. Up there the slaves who escaped from the plantations took shelter.
