Town centre of Moffat - Dumfries and Galloway

We went to visit Moffat, a nice small town in Dumfries & Galloway, on the road to Edinburgh. The center consists of a square with some nice shops and hotels. Moffat is the gateway to some of the most beautiful sceneries of the Scottish Borders, from where you can go for excellent hikes.

Great tips from my home area. Your village with the abbey is New Abbey, and the abbey is called Sweetheart Abbey (origin of the term sweetheart). We're all big fans of Moffatt Toffee in our family, and of days out at St Mary's Loch. Thanks
