"Fortuna, our best suprise" Top 5 Page for this destination Fortuna by BEETLE_VERTE

Before leaving home, we had a vague idea we wanted to see the Arenal volcano and go in the Monteverde area for birdwatching... Once there, we made our choice to travel from San Jose to La Fortuna de San Carlos and stay there for a few days... and see what happens.

It was the best suprise of our trip! After the hot sandy beach trip south, this first incursion in the northen area will be most enjoyable. We found La Fortuna a little less touristic, surely less crowded and surrounded with beautiful luxurious forests in the mountains.

After finding the perfect hotel and getting our hands on some trips brochures, we actually extended our stay!
