Last time I were in New Orleans , or sailed on the Mississippi River , were in 1979. Of course many things have changed since then , but I believe New Orleans and the French quarter still are there , and that Mardi Gras still goes on.From 1969 - 1979 I were there several times , while working onboard Norwegian vessels transporting cargo overseas . |
