Taos Pueblo is located to the east of Taos, higher up in the mountains. A small creek runs through the village and provides water to the community. When you visit the village, remember that you are a guest and respect the people's privacy. Do ask permission before you take someone's picture. The Pueblo is a large adobe-built village, with multi-story houses. it was probably built around 1350. It is one of the oldest continuously inhabited villages in the United States.
