Hasselt is the small but interesting capital of the province of Limburg. Count Arnold IV of Loon gave the city its city rights in 1232. But Hasselt stays young and keeps improving. One of the top places to shop in Belgium, the cleanest city of Belgium, plenty of interesting musea, free and plenty public transportation, this is a great place to live. Did I mention that this is my home town?

We have been in Hasselt today, I am very sorry we missed the Japanese garden, but maybe it is nicer during the summer. Good reason to go back :-)
