If you are coming to Texas, definately visit Austin. It surpasses any other city in Texas by far! While it is a college town, it still has a lot going for it. It is situated in the Hill Country, so it has some spectacular scenery. Definately NOT the Texas you have seen in movies. Austin is a laid back city and the "Music Capitol of the World". It's a great respite from the fast paced city life a lot of us are accustomed to. |

6th St. is part of the live music scene in Austin. Parking sucks, yes, & there are annoying frat rats at every turn, but I will put up with them every time to catch a show at Stubb's & have a sandwich and chat in the back of Casino. BTW, I am 32. | bari_hsiung Fri May 17, 2002 09:52 UTC
