Skiing in Oppdal Skiing Review

Oppdal prides itself in having the country’s largest alpine skiing area, 16 skilifts, loose snow skiing, and snowboarding complex. Depending on snow conditions, the ski lifts are normally opened in December and remain in operation until the end of April.
For cross-country enthusiasts, Oppdal has 82 kilometers of prepared trails, most of which are prepared daily.

Munkholmen - “Monks’ Island” Munkholmen and Ravnkloa Review

Benedictine monks built a monastery on the island early in the 11th century. In 1658 Munkholmen was converted into a prison and fort, later becoming a customs house. Today the island is a popular recreational area. It's possible to go for a swim in the (cold...) water, and have a meal at the restaurant.
