Salt Lake city is truly a jewel in the middle of a glorious Rocky Mountain Valley. Here you'll find the spiritual home of the Church of Later Day Saints, or ' Mormons.'
The city is laid out around Temple Square, the home of the church. You can take a free tour of the grounds, I especially recommend the Mormon Tabernacle Choir building.
Salt Lake City is also a great starting point to explore the surrounding Ski Slopes.

You can be in Park City in less than an hour's drive from SLC. I recommend it for a day trip, or more. more travel advice

I am shocked there was a brewery there!
After almost 3 years my name still reads "Glends" on your SLC page dude; was that a typo or is that what you call me? Remember those stupid orange flags!? ROFL
I don't remember the capitol looking that beautiful when I went. Very nice tips and pages.
