In the photo above, I am along the water on the way to visit Portage Glacier, about an hour from Anchorage. I love the natural beauty of this state. This photo was taken during the four hours of daylight in January. This picture here on the side is me at the Anchorage Information Center, it's a great little cabin surrounded by flowers in the center of town. |
In the summer of 2003, I spent a little more than a week in the Anchorage area.... with side trips to Whittier, Nome and Barrow. My father lives in nearby Eagle River, so I try to return as much as possible. |
