    • Favorite Thing: When Scott made his 53 day trek to the south pole, this is how he crossed the Trans-Antarctic range.

    Amundson chose a steeper glacier, but he reached the Antarctic Plain quicker, and was the first to reach the south pole.

    The south pole and other stations are indicated. I'm currently at McMurdo Station on Ross Island, in the middle of the Ross Ice Shelf.

     The operative question about your trip is, did you "join the club" by er...streaking between buildings at the base? One of my engineers set up the SAT com to enhance their internet communication at one point.
