    • This is a wonderful facility if you'd like to experience the wonders of Antarctica......

    Since I'll soon depart for Antarctica from here, I probably won't explore this center at this time....

    But it is advertised as New Zealands #1 attraction!!

    • I didn't actually try this, because I think it would great for a romantic couple....

    It looks like it would be a great way to relax and see the river, and the Botanical Gardens.

    • Another nice diversion from the City. You can ride your individual gondola up to the summit for some great views of Christchurch, The Southern Alps and the Banks Peninsula.

    Directions: Bus no 28 from the bus exchange will take you right to it, you can't miss it. The Gondola runs from early morning until late (whatever that means). NZ$10 one way, NZ$18 return
