|  | Doha is one of those cities that I could certainly return to over and over again. It's off the 'tourists' radar, and not a common destination.
Everyone that I've met and interacted with has been incredibly friendly. Dispite a general dislike of westerners in this region, every here has been very open minded and hospitable.
The nation is only recently emerging from the obscure. It's not ad developed as Dubai, but they are certainly catching up at a record pace. |

my 2nd day in Doha - definitely similar to abu dhabi. i read about camels that you met off the road, compared that with luxury of hotels and liked the pyramid shaped sheraton. i agree doha is safe for foreigners. my journey continues :-) |
