| | Doha is one of those cities that I could certainly return to over and over again. It's off the 'tourists' radar, and not a common destination.
Everyone that I've met and interacted with has been incredibly friendly. Dispite a general dislike of westerners in this region, every here has been very open minded and hospitable.
The nation is only recently emerging from the obscure. It's not ad developed as Dubai, but they are certainly catching up at a record pace. |
| | The Asian games will be hosted in Doha in December 2006, there has been a flurry of construction activity and preparation. There's a lot at stake; Qatar is hoping to be the center of sport in the region. |
