    • Inca Cola; I didn't really enjoy it during my first trip to Lima. But since then, they've introduced Inca Cola Light, and I really like that! You can find Inca Cola everywhere!

    Overall, I prefer Cheecha Morada and Pisco Sours!

    • Miles of unplanned 'shantytowns' are being built on the outskirts of town. These towns usually lack proper water and sanitation facilities, and are infested with disease.
    Lima is overcrowded, yet the people keep coming down from the mountain villages in hope of a better life. I hope the government can do something to fill the needs of the people.

    • Now that the corrupt former president Alberto Fujimori is a fugitive, hiding-out in a Tokyo condo, there will hopefully be some positive political changes.
    (I personally believe that Japan is wrong to not return him)

    There is much hope for the new president, Alejandro Toledo. He is a 'Cholo,' descendant from the indiginous population. This former Shoeshine boy from Andean Cabana is US educated and has a reputation for his honesty and integrity.
