This is the Peruvian National Museum. You won't see any contemporary history here, it is too controversial at this time. This is an exposition about prehispanic societies. The history begins in the Archaic period and ends with the Inca Empire. There are temporal expositions about paintings, folk art, handcrafts, photography, etc.

This is the location of the famous Catacombs. Go into the basement (watch your head) and see centuries of human bones. Very interesting

If you collect local Maps like I do, this is the place to go for a wonderful selection. Inside you can also by some incredibly detailed Orthophotos. This would be a good place to visit if you are planning an Amazon expedition. You actually need to show your passport to gain entrance.
