Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque
Do you know where Brunei is located? Most people don't... It is certainly off the beaten path, but well worth the diversion to get here.
Jame`Asr Hassanil Bolkiah Mosque
I had always been intriqued by this nation, so I journeyed there to discover it. The capital city of Bandar Seri Begawan is compact and wonderful to walk around.

I love the islamic temples, and Kampong Ayer, the city on water stilts is fabulous!!

Brunei is expensive to visit. Although it is one of the smallest nations in the world, it's vast oil reserves make it one of the wealthiest.
Water Taxi through Kampong Ayer
Take a water taxi across the river from downtown. This may be the most rewarding part of your visit to Brunei.

If you came to Brunei for nightlife, you made a big mistake.... Although Non-Muslims may bring a small amount of alcohol in, there is none available for purchase here.

Interesting page and great photos of Brunei. Is Brunei the place with that cool hotel that looks like a sail? I may be mixing it up with another place...Kat
