Interesting shopping

There are many neighborhoods with small shops that specialize in beauty care, picture framing, gift items, jewelry, furniture....all sorts of things. The thing I liked is many of the buildings were only 2 or 3 stories high, brightly decorated, or murals on their walls. It made things lively and interesting rather than shopping in mega stores or huge malls. You can go just outside the city to find the mega malls if that's your pleasure.

The Polish Cultural Center has a good assortment of dolls and some amber jewelry from Poland...if that suits you. I found a wonderful little doll to add to my collection.

What to pay: Reasonable prices.....small doll for approx. $20
