Located at the water's edge beside the University of Massachusetts, the IM Pei building is an impressive structure. It's so open and filled with light...which says something about the presidency of Kenendy. Those were the days of Camelot. The young family...beautiful wife, eloquent young president who inspired the youth of the country. There was magic to it all. The Library/Museum brings that feeling to the visitor and transposes you into a place of hope idealism. You can forget the errors or bad habits of the real man and live with that charming Irish smile and quick wit. SEE TRAVELOGUE FOR INTERIOR PICS OF EXHIBITS ~ SPEACHES ~ OLD TV BROADCASTS

My favorite museum/library in Boston is the John F. Kennedy Library & Museum. I still remember the first time we visited when it was first opened. We had a car full of our young children at the time and I had to plead with everyone to "just stop for a few minutes and check it out." Ha! We were there for a couple of hours. Everyone loved it. Of course the story is sort of fairy tale...but that charisma that Kennedy had to inspire the nation ... grabs you again in this Presidential Library. His sailboat sits outside a 3 story window at the water side of the museum...dramatic in its simplicity. There are interactive television clips of his news interviews...personal photos of family. . . his presidential desk w/ datebook left open to the page with the appt. in Dallas. A time line helps you to understand the things going on around the world during his lifetime. The design of the museum is excellent. From the opening movie introducing you to the museum...to the last door... he's got you. He always did. The John F. Kennedy Presidential Library and Museum is dedicated to the memory of our nation's thirty-fifth president and to all those who through the art of politics seek a new and better world. Located on a ten-acre park, overlooking the sea that he loved and the city that launched him to greatness, the Library stands as a vibrant tribute to the life and times of John F. Kennedy. Come tour our Museum which portrays the life, leadership, and legacy of President Kennedy, conveys his enthusiasm for politics and public service.

There is usually something going on around Faneuil Hall. Walking through the old building...there are numerous vendors on either side of the broad walkway. Each is selling a different kind of food, candy, ice cream, coffee...You can pick up lunch and find a seat in the center area...watching the hundreds of people who pass through each day. Outside you find park benches..shopping, nearby restaurants...but best of all are the street entertainers. Jugglers, mimes, all sorts of performers amuse the passerby. Always an active spot just across from the Government Center and a short walk to the Old State House.
