You have to pry and search to find her secrets Savannah has a special appeal. Maybe it's her canopy of trees with all the Spanish moss dripping from every branch. The mystery is encouraged by the city fathers who bill her as the most haunted city. There are many stories of ghosts and magic potions.... and the mood is intensified by the very fabric of the historic district. So many wonderful old dwellings protecting the secrets within and fortified with the iron scrollwork so typical and plentiful. The obvious districts along the waterfront and around the City Market must be explored, for sure. But then to get to the heart of this mystical city, you must move more slowly through the small lanes and streets, circling the many park squares... to discover the little cafes, shops, museums, and galleries. |
| | Beautifully barricading something secret.... Predominantly 1800's architecture adorned with the signature scroll work of the old masters, there are too many fabulous views and buildings to photograph. At last you abandon the camera to just walk and absorb this special atmosphere which escapes my description. |
| | Drawn to the light Tybee Island offers large expanses of open sky, beach and dunes. This is the popular summer playground of the sun worshippers... and those who like a bit of honkey tonk on sultry summer nights. |

Lovely page - Bravo Pulaski! Ciao | jumpingnorman Sat Aug 22, 2009 01:13 UTC That's interesting they use pineapples as a sign of hospitality! Would love to walk the parks and squares - and that is truly a striking bridge going to the Carolinas! It is good you have son Christopher who has good taste for restaurants!
