It's a bit humiliating for a real "Jeppisbo" (person from Jakobstad) to have to go under Kokkola.... :))
(The two towns, lying only 30 km apart, are great rivals since, like, forever.)
I have spent the first 23 years of my life in or close to Jakobstad. The town was founded in 1652 and has about 20 000 inhabitants, of which a majority of 55% are swedish speaking. It's a cute, quite open smalltown, with strong influences of sailing, shipbuilding and industry.</font>
