Photo: The Virgin River flowing out from the Narrows and through Zion Canyon. June, 1995. The white, pink and red rocks of Zion are so huge, overpowering and magnificent that they are at once a photographer's dream and despair. Few photos can do justice to the magnificent scenery found in this, the first national park established in Utah.
A major highlight is Zion Canyon, a half-mile deep slash formed by the Virgin River cutting through the sandstone. This canyon has colorful vistas of looming cliffs, domes and mountains. Other scenic drives are less crowded and just as magnificent. For those with the time and energy, day and overnight hikes can take you into spectacularly wild country.

To be moved to Zion Canyon perhaps?
Beautiful pictures, which is the only way I'll be enjoy the beauty of this area. I'm beyond the "hiking" stage in my life. Thanks for sharing your trip.
