"Beautiful Dubai!!!!" a Dubai Travel Page by chagi1

Well, I finally made it to Dubai to visit my sister and her family!! It's an AMAZING city which never sleeps!!
While the British airways plane was beginning it's decent on Dubai all that I could see from the air were millions of bright colourful lights.
My first impression of Dubai was the Airport, which in itself is a site to see!! There is but one terminal, but the vast size of this terminal may be larger than some airports around the world. It's huge, clean and very bright!!!
I quickly came to realize that the bright lights seen from the sky were the ones belonging to the beautiful city streets and amazing architecture! Everything in Dubai is lit up at night making one believe that it is still day light at 3am!
I think this is one of the reasons that the city just does not seem to sleep!
I got a tour around the city as we were making our way to Sharja where my sister and her family live, and even at 3am in the morning, we managed to get stuck in some traffic! All in all, an amazing first impression of Dubai!

Although UAE is an Islamic country, it is quite relaxed in rules! The national UAE natives makes up only about 10% of the population in Dubai with the remainding 90% of the population belonging to many different nationalities such as Brits, Indian, Asians, and of course other Arabs. All of these different immigrants are in Dubai for the sole purpose of making some good money working in this tax free land!
The city is full with different tastes from all over the world with restaurants ranging from Lebanese, Indian, American and of course Arabic cusines. I am sure there is something to satisfy anyones taste buds!!
There are of course tourists in Dubai as well, many of them can be spotted at the beaches and many different tourists attractions such as the safaris. There is so much to see as far as architecture goes, the buildings in Dubai are some of the most beautiful modern buildings available today - you will be amazed!!

There is soo much to say about Dubai, I was amazed from beginning to the end of my trip! Although it is a very modern city, the ancient Islamic ways are still evident in the many many masques around the city, in the clothing among the Islamic men and women and every day when the Muslims are called to prayer over speaker heads!!!
All in all, the modern and the old are nicely united in this very amazing city!
