The Samoan Way (Fa'a Samoa) - American Style!

Car Rear Window Stickers- The Samoan Way American
American Samoa was for me an extremely interesting place to visit when included with a trip to the Independant State of Samoa to the west. America reached agreement with several of the islands in the early 1900's and they have fallen under the control of the USA ever since. The resulting years have seen tremendous cultural change on these islands with many aspects of traditional life now non-existant. Yes disappointingly two of the first things you'll see when you drive out of the airport at Pago Pago (pronounced Pango Pango with the "a"s being pronounced softly), are Pizza Hut and KFC. However, despite the obvious cultural differences there is still that easy going friendly Samoan attitude which is never too far away!

Pros:"Very Beautiful particularly the Manu'a group of islands."
Cons:"Influence of American Culture"
In A Nutshell:"I may well be back!"

I was reading about StarKist there in Amerika Samoa. Try working there, if you thought the air was bad outside, you have another thing coming!!! Though I loved Samoa I had to go back home to the states

I work with a guy from Pago Pago...he often complains about the natural beauty being overrun! Great tips and pics!!

Yes indeed, this does sound like a little bit of paradise where you can just chill out and enjoy the ocean and the fantastic scenery! Excellent stuff here.
