So is Samoa just another one of those island destinations in the Pacific? Well currently no as mass tourism has suceeded in staying clear of this part of the world. There are only two resorts on the main island of Upolu, and it's all low key elsewhere and on the other islands.
If you make the effort to come here you will be greated by a relaxed, happy bunch of locals, who are always helpful and honest. Traditionally this is called Fa'a Samoa (The Samoan Way). The people still keep strongly with their traditions and the western influence has fortunately been limited. This makes it easy for the traveller/tourist to immerse themselves in the Samoan experience. My time here was thoroughly rewarding. Thanks Samoa!
