"Barbados" a Barbados Travel Page by Groverdean

This was the only sunshine I saw in 5 days in Barbados! It rained an awful lot, and when it wasn't raining, it was about to rain, Except for a few hours on this day!
Barbados, is a fantastic island destination, that comes with a big recommendation.
You hear all those stories, about the great beaches, really happy, smiling faces of the locals, the great food, etc. Well it is actually all true! I was in such a state of shock, that despite the awful weather, I still managed to have a fantastic time!
Alleynes Bay (pictured above) is where you can go swimming with Turtles! This was an awesome experience. They are protected however, so you can't touch them!

I didnt get the chance to take too many pictures due to the weather. Even though it rained I still took the chance to get out and explore the island. The Atlantic side is completely different to the normal places that the tourists hang out. It is well worth making the effort to visit though!
