If there is one place that I haven't travelled to on this planet, that I'd alot of preconcieved ideas about, it was definitely Bali. Why did I want to be another, amongst the millions of Australians who have visited this northern neighbour of ours? The attraction to me was extremely limited.
So eventually I succumbed, and I just had to see what all the fuss was about! |

Yes Bali has the crowds, the never ending "you buy here Mister", the rip offs and traps, but somehow what this small island has to offer, is still more powerful than all of its negatives. Even the bomb blast of 2002, and the remaining ever-present threat of terrorism, should never deter you from travelling here. The reality is, it is just as dangerous if you stay in your own home town. |
Bali is a place where everyone can find there own slice of paradise. It simply offers something for everyone- the reason why people have visited here for such a long time and will continue to.
Bali is affordable, it offers great food, accommodation, weather, sightseeing, experiences etc. But most importantly it is the people and their rich culture that will leave you with the greatest impression. If you have always thought about visiting here, don't hesitate, you probably will never get a better time than the present. | | |
