| Inside St. Peter's Basilica-The Vatican City |
The Vatican is an amazing sight. When you visit here it is not hard to see why the Catholic Church has had such power for such a long time. To build the Vatican nowadays would cost billions of dollars. It just shows you the incredible amount of wealth the Catholic church now has. My great regret is I never had the chance to visit the Cistine Chapel. The waiting time in the queue was 2 hours which was longer than I could wait! So be aware of this when visiting. |

thedouglas Mon Feb 13, 2006 11:20 UTC Highlights for sure! Makes me want to go back - so many places - so little money! | Botev Tue Jan 25, 2005 04:05 UTC Very nice pictures of Vatican and great information on how to arrange the tour into the gardens. When I was in Vatican, I was just curious how to get there. Now I know I should have phoned in advance... | sue_stone Mon Dec 20, 2004 13:50 UTC Love your opening photo Dean!! Hope the stairs didn't hurt your poor little legs too much. |
