Even coming from Turkey I got a real sense of culture shock when I hit Aleppo. Aleppo is Syria's second largest city and it was here that I got my first real sense of I am in the Middle East. Its a fascinating destination. Sights to visit include the covered souqs, citadel, museum and caravanserais. You must spend a few days here. |

I have been to Aleppo twice but still haven't seen the Great Mosque. It is closed for reparations. Nice tips! |
