Getting to Sheki from Georgia and other Saki, Azerbaijan Transportation Tips

Getting TO/AROUND: After coming from Telavi you must allow a full day! After the humourous border crossing. ( walking over the bridge getting bundled into a caravan to have our temperatures taken), you then must get a taxi to the nearest town called Balakan about 20mins. From there get a Marshrutka to Zaqatala, this takes 40mins to 1 hr. We paid the taxi driver 5USD, and for that he put us on the Marshrutka and he paid for that. We were pulled over 5 times by police. At one stop I ate watermelon with them, much to the laughter of everyone else on the bus! Luckily we only had to wait 40 minutes to get a bus to Seki (pure luck). That ride took 2.5 hours.
