| A Summer's Day on the banks of the Saone-Lyon |
Leaving Lyon was hard after a short stay. I was left with such a good impression. In particular the people were very down to earth and friendly, which is rare for a city this size.Lyon is the 3rd largest city in France. The city meets at the junction of the Rhône and the Saône Rivers. |

| | Some of the country's best restaurants are here, and it is known throughout France for it's fine food. The largest square in Lyon-Place Bellecour (pictured) with it's red gravel- is a great place to get your bearings when in Lyon. A large pavillion on the boundary of the square hosts the main tourist office. The staff here are very friendly and helpful. |
