Paris- what a great City!

Arc de Triomphe-Paris
Paris is not France. Paris is Paris. A point of fact that many tourists get confused with. Paris and Parisians are unique.

Many tourists who go to Paris say they find the French arrogant, unhelpful etc. Upon further investigation the tourist who has passed this comment often hasn't ventured any further in France. And do they speak French or attempt to? I can't speak French so I don't try is a frequent reply. In any country you visit you should always make the attempt to speak the local language. If someone visited your country and came up to you and asked for some directions in a language other than your native tongue, what would be your reaction? Could you empathise? And remember that Paris, your home city, is the most touristed city in the world, so you must endure this type of behaviour continually. It's not an excuse, it's the reality.
Florent at Jardins des Tuileries-Paris
I learnt this lesson many years ago and it is an invaluable one to learn and practice in a place like Paris. You will trully come to appreciate Paris much more. Paris has so much to offer in every regard I find it hard to summise in words. Yes the Parisians have much to offer too for the traveller!
I have been to Paris 4 times in my life. With every trip there is always so much that I want to see and do. Every time that I leave, I have always said I wish I had seen this, or done that. So I am sure that the 5th trip is not that far away.
Parisian Life at The Effiel Tower-Paris
This is one of my favourite photos. It was a lovely Sunday and the streets and parks were full of Parisians. If I had my time again I'd probably live in Paris for a year.
