Nukus is the capital of the autonomous region of Karakalpakstan in the west of Uzbekistan. Nukus feels like the ends of the earth. It is desolate, very poor, run down, and very hot. But still at least the kids are happy! |

|  | There are 2 points to note about Nukus. Amazingly, it has one of the finest art museum collections in the world!!! Secondly, it is 2 hours drive away from the Aral Sea, (well where it used to be!). |
