Visit the Opera House A wonderful building, with sensational design. I walked around and around and around in circles when I first saw it, the photographs simply don't do it justice. I know people who frequently go to the Opera and other such performances there - it's apparently wonderful. Do try to get tickets to see something there... you won't regret it.

The Blue Mountains Whether you explore this beautiful part of New South Wales on foot or by car, you can't miss the Blue Mountains. They are an integral part of the 'personality' of Sydney, embracing it with it's beauty and heritage. There is nothing more relaxing than waking up in a little bed and breakfast, to kookaburras talking to each other in the sky, and the sun filtering through the trees. Go camping, bushwalking, or simply drive slowly around the many winding roads... it's a beautiful place...

Sydney Harbour Bridge The best way to see it is from The Rocks, or the Opera House - somewhere around the Harbour... When I first went to Sydney, we thought 'wow lets go over the bridge'... but it's pretty damn unexciting... you don't see any water or view at all, which you do on Melbourne's West Gate Bridge, because there are great big metal bars on either side of the bridge. I have heard that it is wonderful to take a guided walk up to the top of the bridge, but just make sure you don't do it on a windy day!

Simply walk around the Rocks area, which was the first part of Sydney to be settled. It's history is amazing, and you can see it all around you. It is worth going into the Information Centre, and getting a guided tour, or a brochure with which you can follow a set tour at your own pace. A great way of seeing some of the history of Sydney.
