Austin is a wonderful place to live in or just to visit. The city has a laid back atmosphere. Even though it is a city, it has a small town feel to it. The people here are so friendly and so unique. You would expect to find cowboys here (and you will), but there are so many other people here as well. Austin is the LIVE MUSIC capital of the world. You can always find a great band playing somewhere around here, and it's all different kinds of music too. Every March Austin holds the SXSW Music Festival. People and bands from all over the world attend. Austin also has a LOT of great restaurants. Austinites love to eat out and they want a variety of food. Below, I've listed some of the favorites. There are a lot of Tex-Mex places, but hey, this is Texas. Tex-Mex is the official food of Texans. We can't live without it! |
