Alipine is located in the Davis Mountains of far west Texas. I'm not sure why it's called Alpine. There are no pine trees and the mountains are far from being like the alps. It is a nice little town, and the surrounding country is beautiful! Brewster County (where Alpine is located) is the largest county in Texas! I love this region around Big bend! Alpine seems to be a very nice little town to live in! You are right, the Reata restaurant is great! Nice page!

The Alpine area looks beautiful. I'd love to visit West Texas, including Big Bend, someday.
