Getting TO/AROUND: Use a boat along the famous Colorado River as John Wesley Powell. I did this rafting from Glen Dam next to Lake Powell and after along this incredible river...It's worthwhile! Believe me!

Getting TO/AROUND: If you plan on flying to Grand Canyon, there are two ways to go. If you book your flight to Las Vegas (NV), you will then need to book a flight from Las Vegas to Grand Canyon on Scenic Airlines (beatiful views!). The toll-free number for Scenic Airlines reservations is 1-800-634-6801. If you prefer by car, from Las Vegas the faster route is US93 South until you find highway I-40 and after the I-64, north direction. You can also book a flight to Phoenix (AZ). From Phoenix, you can take the Nava-Hopi bus line to Flagstaff (AZ) (A beatiful town where you can visit the Lowell Observatory, Museum of Northern Arizona an the Pioneer Museum) then change buses in Flagstaff to Grand Canyon (120 kms approximately). Call Nava-Hopi at 1-800-892-86-87 for times. If you prefer by your own car from Flagstaff, I-40 East until you find US89 North (beatiful views!!!!!!!!!!!!); then 64 North. And please, Keep in mind !!! that if you fly to Phoenix you will need to spend an overnight in Flagstaff due to the bus schedules. (Go to the Lowell Observatory by night is worthwhile!)
The FREE (Yes, that's great!) shuttle bus system to transport you around the village.

Getting TO/AROUND: Mule is the most comfortable transport inside the Grand Canyon! Of this way you can relax and contemplate the beauty of the canyon

El Tovar and Phantom Ranch are categories under Grand Canyon National Park - Hotels & Accommodations and there aren't very many tips in that location.

thanks for the tips, I can't wait for my visit in October! I will definitely do some hiking. Do you have any info on Havasu falls?
