Hello, my name is Sara and I am from a very nice city in northern Italy called Bologna. I studied languages and then I did a Master programme in Development and International Cooperation in Bologna. I lived in Germany for one year and in Belgrade for 10 months, then I have been back to my hometown Bologna since July 2007.
If you want to know more about me (but why should you?! :P) Visit my Blog.
I've always wanted to travel, and as soon as I was old enough to go on my own, I did it an so far I've been to some countries in Europe and to Hawaii. What do I like apart from travels? I love listening to music, I enjoy the internet, art, taking pictures, learning foreign languages, meeting new people and partying! I am also interested in international politics, development and human rights.
My favourite destinations are: especially Northern and Eastern European countries; my very dream destination was RUSSIA which I have visited in 2004! (I also would like to take the Transiberian Railway from Moscow to Vladivostok. One day I'll make it!!) I also would like to see Japan and China. But anyway I don't think there's a place in the world which I wouldn't like to visit!!!!! |
Here is a list of the places I visited which I liked most, not only for the beauty of the place itself, but also for the experiences that I lived there, so I also wrote the reason why the place is important for me:
Belgrade I lived there 10 months of my life. It's a crazy city, big, lively, excellent night life, although a bit too polluted and messy, but...I miss it like crazy. Beograaaad!
Münster Because I spent one year there and I have lots and lots of beautiful memories. I consider it as my second home.
Moscow Because it’s the biggest city I’ve ever seen, them most fascinating and the most different. It’s the city I liked most.
Exeter Because I spent there longer times than the usual holiday, it’s where my English improved most and I had a wonderful host family.
Honolulu Because it’s the most far away place I’ve ever been too, and I was quite young when I went there and did it on my own.
Prague Because it’s simply beautiful, breathtaking masterpieces of architecture everywhere, and I have been there during my studying period in Germany with my Finnish friend Linda. We had a lot of funny moments and I’ll always remember it.
Krakow Because it’s a lively city, big and with a lot of interesting sightseeing. And Polish beer is very good ;)
Vienna Because I am fascinated by its imperial history and architecture, it’s a bit like living still in the past, but at the same time a very modern and dynamic city. It’s one of my favourite cities ever…and they speak German, which is one of my favourite languages ;)
Munich Because it’s what I call the “Italian part of Germany”…in the best of meanings, because it’s lively, loud and fun. The architecture is also great and I love the beer gardens ;) It’s one of the cities where I would like to live.
Berlin Because it has experienced shocking historical events, it’s charismatic, big (ok..I love big cities, now you know!!), open minded and it’s also one of the cities where I’d like to live.
