LOVED IT! was really really nice. We felt safe enough, people are extremely friendly and very very nice. The food was ok too, loved the old ladeback living.

PS VISA!!! THEY SAY NO VISA REQUIRED, IT IS REQUIRED ON ARRIVAL - 60USD PER ADULT AND 17USD PER CHILD!!!!

for going around Yemen - you will need 'travel pass/permit' , which only can get travel agencies (local), so best to contact them before leaving sana'a to other cities. This the one we traveled with and it was ok, can pay cash in advance, trustful people: Bazara travel&tourism ask for 'Victor', he is a nice guide, not fluent in English but can understand :) email bazara@y.net.ye tel +9671279235, his mobile +967733216246

  • Pros:friendly and safe enough, simple life and beautiful old way of living
  • Cons:got bored from traditional food.. not much variety
