  • 1. ARCHITECTURE AND HABITAT: Yemen, the Sheba queen land have still live many ways and customs. Some areas of the country are still governed by local tribes who have strong customs. It's impossible to describe the beauty of each villages and towns as all so different and interesting to visit. In each area you will see different architecture according the weather, the customs, the history of the place, people living there…
    You will found those different type of architecture:
    o architecture of “ loam” on Amran and Saada area
    o architecture of ” stone” on mountain and on Djibla
    o architecture of “straw” on the “african” part on Tihama area
    o architecture of “puddle clay” on Hadramaout area
    o architecture of “stone and brick” on Sana'a
    when finish to see the different houses just see the decorations , the windows and the doors who are typical for each kind of architecture. These houses so beautiful can't be modernized and so to not be abandoned UNESCO protects a large part of Yemen.

    2. WHAT TO SEE:
    o Sana'a the capital
    o Marib with the temples
    o Across the desert of Rub Al Khali with Bedouin tribe
    o Hadramaout area with Sayum Tarim and Shibam
    o Bir Ali and its wild beach
    o Taez, Ibb and Djibbla
    o Tihama area and Red Sea
    o Bay El Fahid and its famous market on Friday
    o Lost villages around sana'a as: Thula, Kwakabam, Bokur, Manaka and don't miss Al Hajjarah

    3. MARKETS: you must absolutely go on the old town on Sana'a and see the market. All markets are interesting and don't miss the best one on Bay El Fahid only on Friday.

  • 1. ARCHITECTURE : le Yemen a conservé intacts ses us et coutumes qui prennent racines dans la nuit des temps. Encore partiellement gouverné par des tribus aux traditions bien enracinées et complexes.
    Les qualificatifs manquent pour parler de l'architecture yéménite: chaque ville est un coup de coeur. A chaque région, une réponse appropriée au climat, à la topographie, à la culture et a l'histoire

    Les types d'architectures principaux sont:
    *architecture dite de terre :région d'Amran et Saada
    *architecture dite de pierre dans les montagnes et à Djibla
    *architecture dite de paille dans la partie "africaine" de la Tihama
    *architecture en pisé dans l'Hadramaout
    *architecture dite de pierre et brique a Sana'a
    Apres avoir admiré le maisons et les monuments prenez du temps pour observer les éléments décoratifs et les "ouvertures" spécifiques à chaque type d'architecture: portes finement travaillés, fenêtre-lumière en albatre ou réside Ali, fenêtre-vue, fenêtre-espion, fenêtre-vitraux (les camaria), meurtrières…
    Ces maisons qui forcent l'admiration du monde entier peuvent difficilement être modernisées, et la crainte qu'elles soient délaissées et donc condamnées au profit de logements modernes a poussé l'UNESCO a inscrire une partie da pays au patrimoine mondial.

    *Sana'a, la capitale
    *Marib , ses temples, sa digue
    *la traversés du désert accompagné par les bédouins
    *l'Hadramaout et notament Sayun, tarim et surtout Shibam la manhattan du désert
    *Bir Ali et sa plage sauvage
    *Taez, Ibb et Djibla
    *la Tihama et la mer Rouge
    *Bay El faqid et son célèbre marché da vendredi
    *les villages perdus aux alentours de Sana'a: Thula. Kwakaban, Bokur, Manaka et surtout Al-Hajjarah

    . MARCHES ET SOUQ: aller absoluement vous perdre dans le souq de Sana'a afin d'y respirer mille odeurs et s'enivrer de mille musiques et sons…
    Les marchés sont aussi des endroits très intéréssants à découvrir et ne manquer sous aucun pretexte le marché de Bay El Faqid (le vendredi)

  • 1. ARCHITETTURA : lo Yemen conserva i suoi usi e costumi che hanno radici nella notte dei tempi; qui gli stereotipi lasciano il posto a un mondo parzialmente governato da tribù con tradizioni tenaci e complesse.
    Nello Yemen non c'è un angolo che non merita una visita: le parole mancano per parlare dell'architettura yemenita! Ad ogni regione l'architettura si è adattata al clima, alla topografia, alla cultura e alla storia .

    I principali tipi di architettura sono:
    *architettura di terra nella regione di Amran e Saada
    *architettura di pietra nelle montagne e a Djibla
    *architettura di paglia nella parte “africana” della Tihama
    *architettura di argilla, sassi e paglia nell'Hadramaut
    *architettura di mattone a Zebid
    *architettura di pietra e mattoni a Sana'a
    Dopo avere ammirato le case e monumenti osservate gli elementi decorativi e le “aperture” specifiche a ogni tipo di architettura: porte finemente lavorate e/o intarsiate, finestre-luce di alabastro presente quasi solo a Radà (dove abita Alì), finestre-spie, finestre-vitrate artistiche, spioncini…
    Queste case davanti alle quale il mondo è in ammirazione possono essere difficilmente modernizzate e il timore del loro abbandono da parte dagli abitanti per case più moderne ha spinto l'UNESCO a inscrivere parte del paese al patrimonio mondiale.

    2. DA VISITARE:
    *Sana'a,
    *Marib, i suoi templi e la diga
    *la traversata del deserto con i beduini
    *l'Hadramaut con Sayum, Tarim e particolarmente Shibam la Manhattan del deserto
    *Bir Ali per la sua spiaggia selvatica
    *Radà per le sue finestre di alabastro
    *Taez, Ibb e Jibla
    *la Tihama e il Mar Rosso
    *il mercato di Bay El Faqid
    *i villagi attorno Sana'a: Thula, Kwakaban, Shiban, Manakha e specialmente Al-Hajjarah…

    3. MERCATI / SUQ : da non perdere il suq di Sana'a, andare per perderci e inebriarsi di odori e suoni…
    I mercati sono pure luoghi magici da visitare, quasi ogni giorno le cittadine offrono un mercato ma il più importante da non mancare è Bay El Faqid (al venerdì)
