1. HOTEL: everywhere you will find hotel as even far away of the European or US standard. The choice is between the 5 stars hotels and the funduks (guest houses) the position of the hotel will drive your choice: maybe an small hotel in the old town can be better that a luxury hotel, an hotel situated in an typical Yemenite house can show you more about the local architecture, an new hotel can be cleanest than an old one… on the small village many hotels opened but as during the last years tourism wasn't good those hotels couldn't be repair so you have to expect to the worse. From North and South you will see some different on the cleanness as even now on the South they make some progress but still now the rooms are clean when you'll arrive.
Advice: just think to have a look on hot water as no guarantee!
* hotel “low price” (3/5$) you will have a mattress on a dormitory
* hotel “ middle price” (10/30$) for a double room. You will be sometimes surprised as Sana'a where often the hotels are on old Yemenite house. So visit different before to choose or ask to your driver. 2. CAMPING: on mountain it's difficult except if you are a group and have good camping equipment and also if you driver knows well the area. On the beach no problem as on Bir Ali where you will get up with the raising sun taking a bath on a hot sea.

1. HOTEL: il existe presque partout des structures d'hébergement, même si parfois très loin de nos standards. Le choix est grand entre les hotels de luxe et les funduks mais on conseille de priviligier la position de l'hotel: par exemple profiter de la vieille ville peut être plus intéréssant du confort; un hotel situé dans une maison typique permettra d'apprecier l'architecture yéménite; un hotel récement ouvert ou a peine restauré sera mieux tenu… Dans les villages le nombre d'hotels s'acroit chaque jour, certains proprietaires ont consenti de grands efforts pour garantir une certaine qualité mais attendez vous aussi au pire car suite à la diminution du tourisme certains hotels tombe en ruine. On note une certaine différence entre les hotels du Nord et du Sud, même si la tendance a nettoyer a fait de sensibles progrès dans le Sud, souvent le ménage n'est fait qu'à l'arrivée du client.
Conseil: l'eau chaude n'est pas systématique, penser a vérifier le bon fonctionement du chauffeau!
*La catégorie "bon marché"(3 à 5 USD) donne droit a un matelas dans un dortoir
*La catégorie "prix moyen" (10 à 25 USD pour une chambre double) offre les meilleurs choix pour de prix raisonables et confort acceptable, parfois dans de magnifiques maisons notament à Sana'a. Ne pas hésitez a en visiter plusieurs avant de fixer votre choix ou bien fiez vous à l'expérience de votre chauffeur.

Unique Qualities: 2. CAMPING: en montagne il est difficile de camper sauf si vous êtes en groupe avec un matériel adéquat et un chauffeur qui connait bien la zone. Par aucun probème sur les plages comme à Bir Ali, ou le camping plus que conseillé est obligatoire pour assister au lever du soleil en se baignant dans une mer chaude à souhait…

1. ALBERGHI: esistono alloggi in quasi tutti i centri abitati anche se a volte molto lontano dagli standard internazionali. Dagli alberghi di lusso ai funduk la scelta non manca e si consiglia di privilegiare la posizione dell'albergo: ad esempio, poter approffitare della vecchia città può avverarsi più interessante del comfort; un albergo in una casa tipica permette di apprezzare l'architettura yemenita; quegli che hanno appena aperto o che sono stati restaurati da poco offrono il vantaggio di essere più puliti. Nei villaggi il numero di alberghi è in aumento, alcuni gestori hanno fatto grandi sforzi per dare una certa qualità ma aspettatevi anche al peggio perché in seguito alla diminuzione del turismo certi alberghi stanno cadendo in rovina. Generalmente si nota una certa differenza tra gli alberghi del Nord e quegli del Sud, anche se la tendenza a tenere pulito ha fatto progressi nel Sud spesso la pulizia è fatta quando il cliente prende la stanza.
Ultimo consiglio: l'acqua calda non è sistematica, un boiler assicura l'approvvigionamento e pensare a verificare se funziona!
