Mejet, for 90/95euro/day/jeep, will show you his marvellous country which he knows perfectly. You can be sure that almost every night will be spent in gers; he will pick you up on arrival and he can arrange your accomodations.
BE AWARE THAT MEJET RECEIVES A LOT OF REQUESTS,SO DON'T WAIT TOO LONG! and sometimes the jeeps are as hard to find as good drivers.

TIP: according your satisfaction and of course you aren't obliged!

RENT A JEEP: around 110 euro/day/jeep all included (petrol and driver) for 4 people plus the driver. If you rent a mini bus (van) enough for >6 p. The price is higher than for the jeep.
Sometimes the drivers are not well-versed in directions so they will make all kinds of excuses not to take you somewhere: the truth is that they don't know where you weant to go. So inquire beforehand and be sure they are familiar with all the places you want to go so you are not disappointed. Some drivers won't want you to sleep in yurts but instead insist you go to tourist camps.
With a good driver, taking a guide is not necessary, as a good driver can make you discover all you want to see.
Don't even think of renting a vehicule without a driver because no street lights and no road sign! GPS won't help you much, the drivers use their instincts and use landmarks such as mountains, forests, and in case of a problem they will ask the nomads who will welcome you with airak or milk salt tea

Getting TO/AROUND: LOCATION D'UNE JEEP:
compter environ 110 €/jour tout compris (carburant et chauffeur) pour un 4X4 pour 4 personnes plus le chauffeur. Si vous louer un van (mini bus) qui peut accueillir plus de 6 personnes, la location peut-être superieur à celui de la jeep.
Un bon chauffeur est aussi un excellent guide car il se doit de connaitre parfaitement son pays donc inutile de prendre un guide.
N’envisager pas de louer un véhicule sans chauffeur: pas de piste balisée et pas de panneaux indicateurs! Le GPS ne vous sera pas d’un grand secours non plus, les chauffeurs se repérent aux montagnes, dunes, forêts… et finissent par demander, en cas de doute, leur chemin dans les yourtes ou vous serez accueillis pour partager un bol d’airak ou de thé au lait salé… ou bien prenez un guide avec vous!

• ATTENTION si vous faites un tour organisé par une guest house car elle aura tendance à optimiser le temps de transport au détriment de la qualité du circuit : jours fixes du circuit sans possibilité d’ècourter ou d’allonger le programme, parcours impossible à modifier même de quelques km, bien se faire préciser ce que le prix inclus car souvent l’annonce d’un prix bas n’inclus pas le chauffeur, l’essence, la nourriture ou bien change en fonction du nombre de participants faisant revenir presqu’au même prix si non plus cher qu’une vraie location indépendante car si par exemple 40€ par personne tout inclus et que vous êtes 3 cela fera 120€ jour plus cher qu'un honnête indépendant sans avoir la liberté de composer son circuit et de rester toujours maître de ses décisions sur tout le parcours! Si dans le prix annoncé les taxes pour les parcs naturels que vous traverserez ne sont pas inclus sachez que vous dépenserez pas plus de 10€ par personne pour tout le séjour. Attention aussi si nourriture incluse on rapporte bien souvent que les touristes ont eu faim, donc prévoir quelques suppléments! A savoir que pour la nourriture si pas incluse dans le prix de la location, ce qui en fait est un plus, vous dépenserez une moyenne de 5€/j/personne donc cela ne peut en aucun cas justifier certains prix d'autant plus que dans la steppe il n'y a pas encore de grands restaurants inscrits au guide Michelin!
BIEN FAIRE SES CALCULS AVANT DECISION FINALE CELA POUVANT ÊTRE DECISIF POUR LES FINANCES!!!
Cela peut aussi se produire avec des chauffeurs independants qui vont appliquer des majorations de prix si vous etes moins de 2 ou 2p par ex, tout est bon pour optimiser la location, aussi on recommande de demander plusieurs fois ce qui inclus le prix et si prix par personne ou par vehicule en precisant combien vous serrez et bien faire vos calculs.
Bien souvent les chauffeurs ne vous emmenront pas le soir dormir dans les yourtes ou il fait si bon partager la vie de nomade, idem pour tours organisés par guest house ou agences quelqu'en soit le prix cher ou pas, on vous fera dormir sous votre tente ce qui ne va pas priviligier les contacts avec la nature et surtout avec les nomades .Si maintenant les agences pullulent à UB il n'en reste pas moins parfois difficile de les localiser ou de trouver celles qui corespond excatement à vos attentes ou de pouvoir faire jouer la concurence ou tout simplement de les comparer souvent pas manque de temps, un bon conseil est de faire des recherches quelques mois avant le départ afin de selectionner les agences /indépendants sans pour autant faire une réservation ferme. le problème que vous pourrez rencontrer quand la saison bât son plein (juil-aout) est de devoir patienter plusieurs jours avant qu'un chauffeur ne soit disponible ou bien vous devrez pour ne pas devoir écourter votre périple dans la steppe accepter le premier chauffeur venu sans pouvoir faire de comparaisons, donc on ne peut que conseiller si au fil de vos recherches vous trouver Votre Perle Rare de réserver vous évitant qui sait quelques déboires sur place?

Getting TO/AROUND: AFFITO JEEP: : circa 110€/g. tutto incluso (benzina e autista) per un 4X4 per 4 persone oltre all’autista. Se affittate un mini bus (van) può accogliere oltre 6 p. ma non può andare ovunque a causa delle piste in cattivo stato. Il prezzo del noleggio può essere superiore a quello di una jeep.
Con un buon autista la guida diventa superflua, perché un buon autista è in grado di farvi scoprire tutto quello che avete sempre sognato.
Non pensate a affittare un veicolo senza autista perché le piste non sono segnalate e non esistono cartelli! Il GPS non vi sarà di grande aiuto, gli autisti si orientano con le montagne, foreste… e chiedono, in caso di dubbio, ai nomadi che vi accoglieranno con una ciotola di airak o del te al latte salato! O prendete una guida con voi!

• ATTENZIONE: se fate un giro organizzato da una guest house perche avrà tendenza ad ottimizzare il tempo di trasporto rispetto alla qualità del circuito: giorni prefissati del circuito senza possibilità di allungare o accorciare il giro, percorso impossibile di modificare anche di solo pochi chilometri ; farsi sempre ben specificare che cosa include il prezzo, spesso un prezzo basso non include l’autista, il carburante o cambia in base al numero dei partecipanti facendo lievitare i prezzi quasi se non di più di un noleggio indipendente perchè se ad esempio vi si chiedono 40€ a p tutto incluso e che siete in 3 farà 120€ al giorno, quindi più caro che da uno onesto autista indipendente senza avere la libertà di comporre il vostro circuito e di decidere sempre durante il viaggio delle tappe! Se nel prezzo annunciato le tasse per i parchi nazionali non sono incluse non spenderete oltre 10€ per tutto il viaggio a persona. Attenzione se il cibo è incluso nel prezzo tanti turisti hanno raccontato di avere sofferto la fame, quindi prevedere di comperare qualche alimento! Se cibo non incluso, il quale è meglio per voi, spenderete ca 5
€/g/p quindi in nessun caso quello può giustificare alcuni prezzi dato più che nella steppa non ci sono ristoranti a 3 stelle!
FARE BENE I CALCOLI PRIMA DI PRENDERE UNA DECISIONE QUESTO PUÒ SALVARE IL VOSTRO BUDGET!!!
Quanto descritto può capitare con autista indipendenti che maggiorano i prezzi se siete meno di 2 ad esempio, tutto vale per fare soldi! Si raccomanda di sempre chiedere più volte che cosa include il prezzo annunciato e se prezzo a persona o a veicolo precisando il numero di partecipanti e dopo fate i vostri calcoli in merito!
Tante volte gli autisti non portano volentieri a dormire la sera nelle iurte dove si può condividere al vita nomade e fare incontri, questo è anche vero per le guest house e i tour operators come per i viaggi cari o non, vi faranno dormire sotto la vostra tenda non permettendovi di privilegiare il contatto con la natura e più di tutto con i nomadi. Se ora tante agenzie si sono aperte a UB è sempre ancora difficile reperirle o trovare quelle che corrispondono di più al vostro modo di viaggiare o di metterle in concorrenza o di poter semplicemente paragonare i servizi spesso anche per mancanza di tempo. Si raccomanda di fare alcune ricerche prima di partire per selezionare le agenzie/indipendenti che possono corrispondere ai vostri criteri senza impegno. Il problema che si incontra in alta stagione (luglio/agosto) è di dover pazientare più giorni per avere un autista valido o dovrebbe accorciare il vostro soggiorno nella steppa o accettare il primo autista trovato senza poter paragonare quindi si può solo che consigliare che se durante le ricerche trovate chi sembra fato per voi di riservarlo evitando magari dopo alcune disillusioni?

Getting TO/AROUND: BY LAND: public transportation isn't reliable: delayed, canceled? Roads are running-tracks in very bad condition. Vehicules can be rented from private owners for about 20 cents USD/km in town. BUT WRITE ALL DESTINATIONS WITH CYRILLIC LETTERS as nobody will understand you (ask at your hotel), also good for all the taxi running in U,B. For longer stay the price will depend of what kind of deal you can make, the number of personns, the price of gasoline (400/500T. it?s expensive). Often you will find different prices: one for local people, one for Russian (a little more expensive) and one for others (more expensive).
Public transportation is almost non-existent. Actually a bus system runs to the major cities but later if you want to visit the area you need a private vehicule and you can have serious difficulties to find one out of U.B?.

BUSES: few and always full and not fast at all, don?t run everywhere and anytime. Buses drivers only leave when they have one and the half of passengers for their bus!

TRUCKS can take passengers.

MINIBUSES: in the steppe there exists a good network but they only cluster towards the capital: example: U.B.- Arvaykheer-U.B. (price 10 000T. for 400 km), leave only if full and they almost never stop along the way to take passengers.Sometimes jeeps are instead of busses and they leaved when full, maybe with 10 or more persons inside...

TRAIN: only a railway line crosses the country from North to South going to Irkutsk in Siberia or Beijing in China. There are 3 routings, one for Edernet, the other to Sharyn Gol and the last to Baganuur. Not expensive at all.

Getting TO/AROUND: PAR LA ROUTE

les moyens de transports locaux demeurent al?atoires pour un reseau routier constitue majoritairement de pistes en mauvais ?tat. En ville tout ce qui roule peut etre affrete (0,2 USD/km car tout le monde fait taxi pour quelques tugrugs, il suffit d?arreter une voiture et expliquer o? on veut se rendre...MAIS IL EST FORTEMENT CONSEILLE DE SE FAIRE ECRIRE TOUTES LES ADRESSES EN CYRILLIQUE car peu de personne vous comprendra, valable aussi pour les nombreux taxis de U.B. Le proprietaire de l'hotel se fera un plaisir de vous traduire toutes les adresses necessaires à vos deplacements dans la ville. Pour les longs trajets le prix dependra de la destination, du nombre de passagers, du prix de l'essence qui a une facheuse habitude a augmenter en ete (>800. le litre) et de votre habilete a marchander!

Les transports publics ne sont pas inexistants mais presque. En fait un reseau de bus dessert les chefs-lieux de provinces mais dès que l'on veut en sortir il est nécessaire de disposer d'un véhicule et il n?est pas du tout evident d'en trouver un hors de la capitale et grande ville.

Peu de BUS (bondes et lents) en dehors des liaisons entre les principales villes; les d?parts ne sont pas toujours assurés et ils ne vont pas partout et les chauffeurs ne partent que si ils ont une fois et demi le nombre de voyageurs pour le vehicule en question!

LES CAMIONS peuvent aussi assurer le transport de voyageurs.

LES MINIBUS à la campagne ont un réseau assez developpe mais essentiellement en etoile avec pour point de convergence la capitale. Compter 10.000 T. pour 400 km, partent que si complet et il n'est pas souvent possible de s'arreter ou de monter en cours de route.

PAR LE TRAIN: il n'existe qu'une ligne de train qui traverse la Mongolie du nord au sud permettant de rejoindre Irkoutsk en Siberie et Pekin en Chine ainsi que 3 bifurcations, l'une se dirigeant vers Edernet, l'autre vers Sharyn Gol et la derniere vers Baganuur. Pas cher.

i mezzi di trasporti locali non sono affidabili: ritardi, cancellazioni. Le strade sono delle piste in cattivo stato. tutto quello che circola puo essere affittato per circa 0,2 USD/km in citta. Ogni macchina fa da tassi per arrotondare lo stipendio e basta fermare una macchina e spiegare dove si vuole recarsi : MA E CONSIGLIABILE FARSI SCRIVERE TUTTE LE DESTINAZIONI IN CIRILLICO perche poche persone vi capiranno (il vostro albergo potrà provvedere). A Ulan Bataar spostarsi e quindi molto facile e poco costoso. Per i tragitti piu lunghi il prezzo dipende dalla vostra abilita a mercanteggiare, della lunghezza del tragitto, del numero delle persone, del prezzo della benzina (tra 800T. quindi cara). Esiste spesso delle tariffe per la popolazione locale, per i Russi (un po piu caro) e per gli altri (ancora piu caro)

I trasporti pubblici non sono inesistenti ma quasi. In realtà una rete di bus serve i capi luoghi delle province ma appena si vuole uscirne diventa necessario di disporre di un veicolo e non e per niente sicuro di trovarne uno fuori della capitale

I BUS: pochi e sempre colmi e molto lenti, non vanno dappertutto e non circolano sempre. Gli autisti partono che se hanno una volta e mezzo il numero dei viaggiatori per il loro veicolo!

I CAMION possono anche fare trasporto di passeggeri.

MINI BUS: nelle campagna esiste una buona rete ma hanno dei tragitti detti a stella con punto di convergenza la capitale: esempio: U.B.-Arvaykheer-U.B. contare 10 000T. per 400 km, parte solo se completo e non si ferma o raramente per strada a prendere viaggiatori.

TRENO:
esiste solo una linea che attraversa la Mongolia dal Nord al Sud e che permette di giungere a Irkustsk in Siberia, o Pekino in Cina. Ci sono 3 biforcazioni, l'una verso Erdernet, l'altra verso Sharyn Gol e l'ultima verso Baganuur. Mezzo poco costoso.
